A nice, SMALL, cabin. It was updated nicely. The outdoor decks and shore looked nice, but it was pouring rain the weekend we were there so we didn't use anything outside. The inside was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The TV was a bit tiring on our necks as it is high over the fireplace. There was an acrid smell from the fireplace(?) that hung in the air nearby and stayed our clothes. We chose the downstairs bedroom so we wouldn't be using stairs at night to use the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. There really was no room to move clothes out of our suitcases; no closet, dresser. The bathroom was very clean. We had issues with the sink drain, for which the host was responsive. The shower is very small and tight, without a handheld shower-head. The kitchen had all the utensils one might need. They supplied coffee beans and a grinder which was nice. No place for dry food as all cupboards had items in them. A bit over overpriced.

We had an amazing time staying in this cozy cabin by the river. The fireplace and hot tub were definitely highlights during the cold nights. And the restaurants in town were just what we were looking for. I recommend staying here for anyone looking for a weekend getaway!

The Verlot river cabin is a truly special place. This was my first visit to the Granite Falls area, but it won't be the last. The majestic woods, rivers, and waterfalls are magical, and this cabin is a cozy and well-appointed place to be. Some days we went on adventures. Other days, we just sat on the deck and enjoyed the beauty of the day. Thank you for a great experience.
