Guest Reviews

We had a very memorable stay at this cozy, thoughtfully designed cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics and everything we needed. The loft beds are accessed by steep stairs, but they were easy enough for us and our child, and surprisingly spacious. We loved the beautiful river view from the upper loft. The standout is the deck and peaceful setting. The Sauk River is just a few minutes’ walk down the backyard, and we loved visiting at sunrise and sunset. It felt private and our kid had a blast throwing rocks into the river. A couple of things to note: the water has a noticeable smell, which took some getting used to, so we preferred using filtered/bottled water for cooking. Also, the cancellation policy is very strict, including around wildfire/smoke conditions. Thankfully, smoke wasn’t an issue during our stay. Overall, a lovely, peaceful cabin in a beautiful setting.

Wonderful peaceful getaway! The cabin is well stocked, the memory foam mattress is quite comfortable. The bug spray was a must! The location is really serene, with a very short walk to the beach and riverfront. Close location to many hikes. The host is attentive and flexible.

Great stay! Kids loved playing in the river. Perfect location for hiking - we did Goat Lake and Heather Lake, both spectacular!

This cabin is so magical!

The spot was great place to stay and unwind in a forested area. We enjoyed the short walk to the river and it wasn’t far from the main part of town to be able to resupply.

Had a great stay here for our day trips to North Cascades and Mount Baker. House was very clean and we enjoyed mornings and evenings on the private backyard deck and hot tub. Nearby lake views were beautiful and the Bellingham restaurants and grocery options were an easy 15 minute drive.
